Curls and Company is a creative collective of stylists specifically chosen because of their talent, training, personality and devotion to the craft of hair styling. Our goal is that you have a rewarding experience and feel good about yourself and our salon after your visit!
We may specialize in the Devachan method of curly dry cutting but all of our staff is trained in cut and color for all hair types.
It doesnt matter what age or you are; dudes, college professors, professional folks, musicians, comedians, baristas and bar staff, accountants and chess nerdsyou have a new place to call home when you need our skills! We will not make fun of you if you want a mullet or to look like George Stephanopoulos or Sid Vicious.
She also has studied under the prestigious Rahni Flowers (hairstylist to Michelle Obama) at the Van Cleef Hair Studio on the Magnificent Mile. Ethnic and natural hair is her passion after training at Devachan in New York in 2013shes a true convert! Texture is what its all about!
Starr comes to us with a wealth of experience in hair extensions, relaxers, amazing blow dry styling, up styles and cut/color. Innovation is her middle name! She is unafraid of a challenge and welcomes your ideas, thoughts and concerns.
When shes not hair obsessed, shes watching movies, the latest TV shows (yea Netflix) and basketball is her game. She has a big close Chicago mily and really knows our great city. Come meet her for a great style!!

, I called and made an appointment with Laneeta. Ive never mentioned to her that I blogged, and the 2 times that Ive been there, I quietly got my hair done, because I wanted to make sure that my results were consistent. Well, honestly, I wasnt exactly quiet because I asked Laneeta a million questions and learned so much from her, down to the tip about flipping my head over to apply products, and using my fingers to detangle.
